ATG (Advanced Technology Group S.R.O., Czech Republic)
www.atg.cz
SME Profile
ATG is an NDT service company specialising in the nuclear inspection market and employing 38 people full-time, of whom 24 are university graduates. It uses all the conventional NDT techniques (radiography, ultrasonics, penetrant, magnetic flux leakage, eddy current, etc.), but also uses advanced methods such as neutron radiation and thermography. In addition it provides consultancy services in the fields of material selection and corrosion engineering. ATG has been involved in the following European research projects in the fields of NDT and corrosion. COST 522 WP 1.1 (eddy current testing of turbine blades), COST 524 (neutron radiography), COST 522 WP 2 (high temperature corrosion of turbine blades) and EUREKA INCOBOIL (high temperature corrosion in the waste incineration environment).
Role in project
Work package leaders in WP-B, ATG will bring to the project its practical experience of NDT field operations and will develop MFL sensors and systems.
Reason for participation in project
Many prospective NDT techniques have failed because the developers have not appreciated the constraints imposed by the conditions of the test site. The conditions under high volume automotive production are severe. ATG is keen to break into the higher value robotic inspection and foresees major market opportunities throughout Europe.
OLIWAM is a collaboration between the following organisations: TWI Ltd, Advanced Technology Group S.R.O., Computerised Information Technology, Microtest, NoError Enterprise, Precitec Optronik GmbH, Socomate, Tecnitest, Solblank, Volkwagen Group, AIMEN, NDT Consultants, Zenon SA.
