SME Profile
Tecnitest is an NDT engineering company (with 20 full time employees and many sub-contractors) addressing its activity to different industrial sectors, paying special attention to the use of advanced technologies and designing its products and services, either those related with production quality control or with predictive maintenance, with a well defined goal: optimisation of inspection cost, time and reliability. Tecnitest is involved with a variety of NDT techniques, including Eddy Current techniques. Tecnitest also provides:

1. On-site inspection in the rail industry, refineries, petrochemical plants, pipelines, civil construction, nuclear plants, aeronautics, etc.
2. NDT Level III services.
3. Projects for setting up advanced NDT inspection facilities.
4. In-service failure analysis.
5. Development of automatic NDT inspection systems.

Role in the project
In this project Tecnitest will develop sensor integration software for data fusion, and the Eddy Current NDT sensor and systems.

Reason for participation in project
As a general rule, Tecnitest is interested in R&D projects at European level concerning NDT. The inspection of laser welded structures in a high volume production environment will further strengthen their position in the European market.
